App privacy labels

Every category Apple asks about, and the same answer to all of them: not collected.

The App Store shows a summary of what an app collects, in Apple's own categories. This page is the long version of ours. It exists so the claim can be checked rather than taken on trust, and so it is on the record before the app ships rather than after.

Data Not Collected. Nothing is linked to you, nothing is used to track you, because nothing is gathered in the first place.

Why the answer is the same in every row

StoryStream has no server. There is no account to create, no backend for the app to talk to, and no analytics, advertising or attribution SDK bundled into it. The app links only Apple's own frameworks and makes no network requests of its own — it works in airplane mode, which is the plainest demonstration of the claim. There is no mechanism by which we could collect anything, which is a stronger guarantee than a policy promising we won't.

The two rows that look like exceptions

User Content

The app does hold a great deal of your content — the worlds you set up, the themes you choose, and every story written for you. All of it is stored on your device, in the app's own storage, and none of it is sent anywhere. Apple's question is what the developer collects, and we collect none of it. Deleting the app deletes it.

Purchases

There is one thing to buy, and Apple sells it. Apple processes the payment and keeps the record; the app asks Apple whether this Apple Account owns the unlock and receives yes or no. We never see your payment details, your name, or your email address, and we keep no purchase history of our own.

Tracking

StoryStream does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. It does not ask for permission to do so, because it has nothing to ask for.

If this ever changes

A future version that collects or transmits anything would have to say so here and in the App Store labels before it shipped, not after. The full policy is at /privacy.
